What are Infinite Monkeys?

The Infinite Monkey Theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter for an infinite amount of time will eventually type the complete works of William Shakespeare. Playing around with GPT-3 for the first time, we wondered, "How is it possible that an AI can generate such rich narratives?" But if a monkey can do it, then obviously a computer can too 😜.

Who we are

Eric and Matt met in high school journalism class and coincidentally ended up as software engineers. With a shared love of storytelling and technology, they were wowed by the creative capibilities of generative AI and wanted to share the magic with more people.
