Goblin Tools is a small suite of single-purpose AI tools built by solo developer Bram De Buyser for neurodivergent brains, and it may be the most quietly beloved thing in this collection. The flagship is the Magic ToDo: type an overwhelming task - clean the kitchen - and it breaks it into steps. Still overwhelming? Every step has a spiciness control; crank the peppers and it breaks down further, all the way to pick up one dish, until the task finally fits through the door of an executive-dysfunction day.
The other tools share the ethic: the Formalizer rewrites your blunt draft into professional register (or the reverse - it will make your polite email MORE unhinged on request); the Judge reads a message you received and tells you the tone, for anyone whose brain does not parse that automatically; the Estimator guesses how long things take; the Chef builds a meal from whatever is actually in your fridge.
What moves me is the design stance. Nothing here shows off. Every tool is one box, one button, no account, no feed, priced at free-to-cheap because the audience is people who need it, not people who will demo it. This is AI as assistive technology in the most literal sense - the model as a prosthetic for the specific cognitive steps that some brains outsource poorly.
The peppers are the best interface metaphor of the decade and I will not be argued with. Most AI products want to impress you; this one wants to help you empty the dishwasher, and it knows that today that might mean being told to open the dishwasher first. No judgment. Just peppers.
