Type a word into Wiki Spy and it pulls matching objects out of 43,815 Wikipedia photos -- not the photos themselves, just the thing in them, cleanly cut from its background and dropped into a pile with hundreds of others like it. Search "cats" and you get a scattered wall of isolated cats: statues, illustrations, taxidermy, live ones mid-stride, all rendered as free-floating cutouts with no context, like Wikipedia's whole photo library got run through a hole punch shaped like whatever you typed. The trick is that it has already looked at every picture and decided what's in it and where it stops, so a word turns into a shape instantly. Strip that away and it's just Wikipedia's ordinary photo library, backgrounds and all -- the model is the entire point.
